One of the treasured rituals in our home is both the giving and receiving of Christmas cards. Every year that we have been married, I have handmade our cards and this year was no different. Sure it takes a little more time, and if I did the math might even cost as much as their store-purchased counterparts. But that's not really the point.
There is reverence in things that have been lovingly crafted by hand. With care and patience, we craft greetings and with thoughtfulness and prayer we send them out. Out to friends, to family, for child-hood playmates and college soul mates they go.
And that is one way we know its Christmas in our home.
