State of our Union

so after a little less than one week here are the stats:
state of marriage: better than ever. i have so enjoyed just spending all this time with my husband. after two years straight of ministry, we so often totally missed each other. there were days when he was up and out the door before i got up and then he would get home after i left for the hospital. then i would come home from work well after midnight and tiptoe around my sleeping husband that i had not seen all day. so the idea of seeing him all the time and capturing both quality and quantity time is a breath of fresh air. this brings us to the personal space issues...rather the complete lack of personal space. so when you are forced to share the front seat of a '97 honda civic there leaves little room for tension. if an issues arrises you either talk about it, fight, or get over it. or very often, all three in multiple rounds. so we've listened to just about every record we own, often singing at the top of our lungs, eating way more junk food than we should have, and laughing a lot.

state of job stuff: promising. we were originally planning on heading south to the Carolinas, though when we got a call for an interview for two RD positions ar Bethel College in IN, we decided to stay in pulaski and then head west. the positions sound amazing, the people were more than welcoming, and the campus is secluded and beautiful. though both of us walked away very on the fence. you know sometimes you leave an interview with the certainty that this is were God will open doors...well both of us left sure that if this is where God opens the doors then we can definately see ourselves; though if this closes, then we know He will lead us another direction. we expect a phone call next week...

state of mind: completely at peace...i got a phone call from an amazing friend from Pulaski. one that i actually met before nathan and i got married, while i was traveling for IWU. she states that she really sees God at work in our hearts giving us peace about this time in our lives. she said that WE were an inspiration to HER...wow, never thought quitting your job to take vacation for three months would make me an inspiration but I guess this conversation opened my mind to the fact that God not only in Lord of our future, but our present.

state of body: south of my neck...not so good, but I guess 33 hours in the car will do that to a girl :)

I'm giving God my vote that I think you guys should end up in the Midwest. I don't think He's taking a vote, but just in case. :)
Also, you mentioned that "we've listened to just about every record we own" - have you guys heard of cassette tapes? they're the new thing. :)
